About Gail

Gail Brenner, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I have more than 17 years of experience offering psychotherapy. Successful therapy can support you in reclaiming your birthright – a life free of stress, depression, worry, and anxiety. In our work together, I help you discover the root of the problem so you can get unstuck and make changes that last.

With great compassion and care, we investigate the expectations you hold and the emotions you carry that keep you locked in and limited. As we unwind these tendencies, you experience the freedom to make new, conscious choices that help you feel confident and capable in your life.

We know that therapy is working when you realize a reduction in stress, depression, and confusion and an enhanced sense of well being and ease. Once old habits begin to dissolve, you will find that you trust yourself to respond skillfully to people and situations in your life. You have self-acceptance and peace of mind.

A new perspective can make all the difference between just hanging on and living a full and satisfying life.

I have a great passion for what I do and show up fully accepting and supporting you. I listen carefully and engage actively with you. Our process may be deeply healing as you explore and release old wounds from the past that hold you back. We may focus on ways to let go of thoughts that no longer serve you or manage strong emotional reactions. We might practice relaxation and mindfulness skills or role-play better ways to communicate. We focus on your strengths, tapping into your natural wisdom and open-heartedness.

I have received special training in behavioral medicine, hypnosis, and integrating psychotherapy and spirituality. My work centers around stress, depression, and anxiety with adults, elders, couples, families, and teenagers over age 16 as well as people with pain and chronic and terminal medical problems. I create a warm, safe space for my clients and hold the possibility for their highest level of healing and fulfillment.

When not in the office, I enjoy yoga, writing, and traveling.
