My
consultations
with families typically address the changes that occur with aging
parents. I am well versed and experienced in the changes that aging
brings to individuals and families, including acceptance of decline
and loss as well as practical decisions that need to be made.
My
work with families is oriented to the specific needs expressed. I
may mediate a conflict between family members, instruct children on
the best way to communicate with their aging parent, discuss senior
living options, or suggest community resources that may be useful.
Often family members feel a great deal of
relief when I am involved,
knowing they are working with an experienced professional they can
rely on. My work is always, at the core, heart-based. I support
families in finding ways to connect and heal at this tender time of
life.
